Intercontinental Film Distributors (H.K.) Limited (“IFDL”) is a leading film distribution company with a time-honored tradition of excellence. Founded on 11 November 1969, it has released over 1,000 feature films to date in Hong Kong.
IFDL is the sole sub-distributor in Hong Kong and Macau for Paramount Pictures International. Other than Hollywood and foreign films, IFDL also distributes many Hong Kong and China productions, including the Chinese films produced by Media Asia. It also acquires quality independent productions internationally from all over the world including the U.S., Europe, Japan and South Korea. Every year IFDL releases around 30 films and has always been one of the top distributors in the local market. Recent box-office hits from Paramount Pictures included “Transformers 5”, “Ghost In The Shell” and “Baywatch”, etc.
In recent years, IFDL has successfully secured the distribution of many high quality Chinese films such as “If You Are The One 2”, “Love Off The Cuff ” and “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart 2”. It also released many commercial independent foreign films including “The Shack”, “Valerian”, “John Wick 2”, “Paddington” and “Doraemon Movie”.
With its many years of experience in the industry, IFDL has enormous expertise in all aspects of theatrical and ancillary rights distribution.
